Powerpaola is a tropical virus– or at least that's what the doctor said when her mother was pregnant with her. In this graphic novel, she tells us the story of her early years with beautiful drawings in purple ink and a warm empathetic tone that makes you feel like you are talking to that friend you haven't heard from in a long time. Powerpaola shows us the magic in the mundane, and also touches difficult subjects relatable to most of us in Latin America, such as misogyny, catholic guilt, drugs and gang violence.
